chicken 525g = £4 but 1kg =£5.79 how is it that the same chicken costs different prices in smaller packaging. or Maltesers 93g £1.99 but a box 360g £4 about half the price to buy bigger

Take ECON 101 and you will learn how prices are set. It is simple, but not always easily explained.
There are two ECON classes, Traditional and Keynesian. You need to study both because both are still in use, even though Keynesian has been thoroughly discredited. You will also learn why they are both still used.
