We dated for a year. I'm his first girlfriend. We both don't have many friends. He graduated 8 months ago so I don't see him as much. His mom picks me up from school which she is really nice and I feel comfortable around his family, I also go to school with his sister. We hung out yesterday which his mom took us to see a movie that he paid for me. While watching the movie, we had a pretty good time I guess, he held my hand and smiled at me. We later on ate dinner at this restaurant which was pretty nice.
Later on, they dropped me off and he walks me to my door. He pulls me aside asking "So did you have a good night? Did you like the movie?" I replied "Yes (: ". He said "I think we should remain just friends". I got all confused and he said he's breaking up with me. So meanwhile, were with his mom and he says he feels he's holding me back because we don't see each other as much.
His mom was a little shocked too but said "Yeah, he's been saying that he feels like he's holding you back". He said I can do so much better or that I deserve better? He said he will still say hi, he wont ignore me etc. His mom said "Would it be uncomfortable for you if you still went to go see a movie with us?" I went home and couldn't stop crying. I looked on Facebook and his sister messaged me a long message saying "I went through the same thing. The storm will pass. We still love you. You will always be apart of our family. If you need anyone to talk to, heres my # etc."
