There's a boy at school (my best friends older brother) and he's two years older than me. several times I've had my back to him he's tapped me on the shoulder. He knows who i am, but we don't really talk and we don't really know each other. Why does he do this? Does he like me?

Hello again. Is that the same lad whom you're trying to impress?
Kinda difficult to interpret a gesture such as a shoulder tap via description, without additional context. But it's generally just a sign of friendliness or support, a greeting. As your friend's sibling, that seems a reasonable explanation.
also, thank you!
Umm, I'm sorry to say it does make sense, aye. Hope the party was otherwise enjoyable.
Though it wasn't my first guess, an emerging pattern may change its validity.
Gentlemen's rules of conduct have waned somewhat in recent years. Keep yourself safe, miss.
i will. i have just been staying away from him and not turning my back. but school's out now so i won't see him till next year. Thank you!
no, it's not the same boy. I think i figured it out though. Last night there was a party and he touched one of my other friends' hair. he had never met her before and doesn't know her. so i think he just can't keep his hands off girls. does that make sense?
