I mean, I know that death was a result of sin, but I've heard different things about why nowadays if that makes sense. Some people have said that the end times are near and that God is letting his people be taken to Heaven before the rapture, others say that the killings are just signs that the rapture will happen soon, and others believe in coinsedences. Who is correct?

In the 19th century Americans started moving west and three institutions went with them. There was vaudeville, traveling entertainment. There was lyceum, traveling education and culture. And there was the itinerant preacher, offering a new style of preaching called "hell fire and brim stone". It was very entertaining, only loosely based on scripture, and pastors didn't even try to compete. Instead they switched to preaching public morality and philosophy. Eventually an entire generation grew up not knowing the first thing about the religion they claimed to believe. That is why most Christian churches don't teach doctrines, and most members don't know what they are supposed to believe.
You can figure that EVERYTHING you think you know was made up by some preacher pretending to know something when he didn't. A lot of people learned their particular brand of bullsnot from beloved relatives and they might never change their beliefs just because they are wrong. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store.

Now here is a straight answer to your question: God is not the God of this world, Satan is. God is the God of rightness, so He has to respect Satan's authority. People say God is all-powerful, but that is not true. The bible mentions several things God can't do: He can't lie, He can't change, and He can't stop Satan from exercising his authority over people.
Sorry but there is no God. Religion, God, heaven, what happens after death etc is simply a tool that has been used over the centuries to control the masses and raise money for the people in the know. As abhorrent as you may find this, after death there is simply absolute nothingness - exactly the same as before you were born.
You are correct, the Bible teaches that "just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned". This was true when it was written and it is true now. God has not changed and His Word has not changed. John 17:17 tells us that God's "word is truth". We are Adam and Eve's offspring and we inherited sin and death through them. Romans 6:23 says in part, "the wages sin pays is death." We are sinners, so we die. It's like baking bread in a pan that has a dent in it. Whatever is baked in the pan will have the same flaw the pan has. There is no way around it. The flawed bread is the by-product of the pan with the dent just as we humans are the offspring of Adam and Eve with sin and imperfection. Nothing has changed.
The time will come; however, when mankind won't have to continue to die as a result of inherited sin. What will bring this about? It is God's Kingdom or Government. That's what we pray for in The Lord's Prayer. (Let your Kingdom come). When God's Heavenly Kingdom rules over the earth with Jesus as King we will no longer die as a result of Adamic sin. Revelation 21:3,4 says: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.'"
Meanwhile, until God's Kingdom rules over the earth, each one of us can exercise our free will to choose whose side we want to be on. Human governments, which God's Government will crush and bring to an end, or God's Government which will stand forever as foretold in Daniel 2:44, 45.
God has created a beautiful world; man is doing things that is causing reactions in the world. We should not blame God. There was one rich man in a village, who made a well because the villagers wanted water. So for many days the villagers used the well to pump out water. It had a low fence and therefore they were taught to not let children go close to the well. Unfortunately, one day a child went close to the well and fell into it and died. Does it mean that the rich man who built the well is responsible for that death? The point is that God is not responsible for all that is happening in the world, God has created certain universal laws. One such law is the Law of Action and Reaction known as the Law of Karma. It states as you sow, so shall you reap. So whatever is happening is our own doing.
