Why does Danzo whant to be Hokage?

He had a bit of a grudge agaisnt one of the preivious hokage and it's also with tsunade because she is related to that prev Hokage. He also wants to change the leaf village to mainly control the Nine Tail fox host. Thats what i've figure.

Danzo wants to be Hokage because since he is from that village, so he feels a bond towards the village, he feels he can help it  but sees the other Hokages are doing it the wrong way. He thinks they don't take risks to help the hidden green leaf village so he thinks that they don't care enough about the village.  His plans to save the hidden green leaf village is no matter what the cost is, even traitors get the death penalty. See episode  209-211of Naruto Shippuden when Sasuke fights Danzo, he talks about saving the hidden green leaf village in his way. ( Sorry about putting the word save, I mean protect the hidden green leaf village).
