Well, who cares? The bible is the word of life. Many or most scholars get drawn into endless discussions about the whichness of what, or the opinions of the great doctor so-and-so, and totally forget the part about life. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read every day. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. It only takes a few weeks of study to know more bible than anybody in your church, including the minister.
Well, actually, at Acts 2:22-24 Peter addressed the issue after holy spirit was poured out on the 120 people gathered in Jerusalem. “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Naz·a·reneʹ was a man publicly shown to you by God through powerful works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, just as you yourselves know. 23 This man, who was handed over by the determined will and foreknowledge of God, you fastened to a stake by the hand of lawless men, and you did away with him. 24 But God resurrected him by releasing him from the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held fast by it." The Jews were responsible.
When you have a question about the bible, avoid asking other people to explain it to you. Write it on a paper and put the paper in a safe place. Eventually God will send understanding and then you can retire the paper.
When you have a question about somebody's opinion of something in the bible, locate the verse on that subject and recite the verse. Then leave them to their own opinions.
