I work at a place that requires photo ID. I usually say that I need photo ID and it can be anything as long as it has your photo and name. A LOT of people just stare at me and ask what is ID? Or they will say "I'm sorry I do not have ID all I have is a passport." Or people would say "I do not have ID all I have is a driver's license."
I'll tell them both a driver's license and a passport are ID. But they do not seem to understand. It's like they cannot grasp the concept of ID yet they have ID. I'm assuming they must think I need to see a specific type of ID but I tell them any form of photo ID is fine.
How is it possible for someone to not know what ID means?
