the latest superhero game i just bought about a week ago was Batman Arkham Asylum. of course it was overrated like most games are. i wanted to buy Arkham City but the only used copy on Amazon was overpriced (not uncommon to find overpriced games on amazon). maybe it's because my standards of what a good game needs to have are too high. i'm sure that time and budget play a role. the boss battles are so repetitive and makes the game get boring.

Well I have played through both of them and arkaham asylum is a small game in its self and yes the boss battles are very repetitve but in Arkaham City the game is Huge with so many side story lines, I beat the main story line and was only like 25% done with the game and the boss battles aren't near as repetitve in the newer game and the combat flow is 10 times better. P.S. you should get your games from like gamestop or somewhere else cause all games will be over priced online.
Yeah gamestop doesn't always have the best selection available but it sure is cheaper sure not all the time but most of the time and it cuts a lot of the time out that you spend searching for the game online.
But in honest opinon Arkaham City is 100 times better than Arkaham Asylum no doubt.
i would agree with Arkham city beign better based on what i've seen. it is much faster buying games at a store. one thing i don't understand is pre-ordering a game for a couple extra features like a different skin or one new character.
Well pre-ordering is really just for fans of that game so they can have something extra if they want, which is why they also have like legendary packs and all that for games, some come with statues and what not. I've pre-ordered a few games from the Halo series because I'm a fan of that game.
But sometimes you don't have to pre-order that game most of the time you can buy extra add ons online, on xbox live or on playstation
i've seen the add ons and beta downloads on playstation store. i'm not really an xbox fan. the controllers still need AA batteries and you have to pay to play online. i'm waiting for GTA5 assassins creed 3 and NFS most wanted to be released. after that i'm not sure how much of a gamer i'll be. unless sony impresses me at E3 next year.
i knew i should've listened to Xplay and the customer reviews on amazon. Xplay is almost always correct with their 5 star rating system. i made the same mistake when i bought "naughty bear" they said it sucked and they were right. amazon isn't always overpriced but the used copy of Arkham city was $81 so i bought Arkham Asylum. i didn't really care for gamestop's selection when i looked.
