Why do people salivate or hurt themselves during a seizure?

they if they are in a seizure they aren't aware of whats going on around them some don't even know what they did some remember going into a seizure but nothing after that they can go into a seizure and hurt there selfs because things around them hasn't been moved away and they can swallow their tongue this would lead to salivating cause they aren't aware of whats going on
