Why do people judge other people off of there appearance?

Its just in human nature most of the time if you don't like the look of them for some reason you're body reacts and tells you that there bad, but i have found if you become friends with some of them you will no longer see that they look bad and that most of the time they are really a good person.
I have to agree with the answer from above its mostly because of Human nature. Its like the saying about first impressions, what would you think of someone if they were a suit from a person wearing a pair of torn up jeans and a dirty shirt? It doesnt necessarilly mean one is a good person and the other one isnt. Another reason to think about is how was the person doing the judging raised. Everyone was raised differently so some are quicker to judge more than others but it happens. Even the people closest to us have their own opinions. It just happens.
