I try to stay positive and always look for the good things in life. I stay away from negative behaviors and avoid negative people. Somehow I've noticed people getting annoyed by my behavior and I truly don't understand why my being happy annoys them. This saddens me a bit, but at the same time I see it as a good thing, at least people who don't like my happiness avoid me and this is a good thing because these people would not be good company anyways right? Still I wonder why happy behavior from others would bother them and make them dislike me or avoid me. Any ideas?

What a joy to find a person who is really happy to be happy and show it.
Sharing that attitude with others is not wrong, as a matter a fact the Bible says,
“There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.” Acts 20:35
We are living in a time where people seem to be angry at everything, where negativity has become the norm. However, again the Bible says this about the time we are living in. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here, for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful
unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness.
People are unhappy, and most either do not know how to fix the problem or like it that way.
Some have asked this question, "What Hope Do We Have for Future Happiness"?
since unhappiness seems to be growing.
I hope this bit of information has encouraged you to stay on your pursuit of being happy no matter what another person's reaction is.
Remember a smile when shared, makes the giver happy, and the heart of a pleasant receiver, rejoice!
