I can hear my mom eating her chips from 3 rooms away. There's got to be something wrong with that, right?
Jewels Verne; don't bother answering this. I have you blocked, so I can't see your answer.

That is how teeth deal with breaking down chips and other particularly crunchy foods, if she is eating tortilla chips or Doritos in particular it will have a much crunchier texture, which adds up to a louder sound, when the chips are being chewed, as opposed to thinner chips such as lays, which are compact and can be finished off in less bites. Does she tend to chew with her mouth open? That will make the crunchy sound more apparent? Tell her to chew with her mouth closed, that will help cut out most of the racket. Crunchy foods make that sound, people can minimize the sound, but it is hard to fully get rid of it. A trick that I find helpful when eating crunchy foods is enjoying it in smaller pieces, it is less for the teeth to deal with, which amounts to a quieter chip eating experience.
Maybe you focus more on your mom's chips‘ sound than other sound meanwhile. More perhaps you are too nervous, don't focus on the moment, impetuous, not mind-calm. You are attraced and distracted by the sound and maybe you are thinking that you are in mind-communication with your mom, but in fact these are your own thinking, your mom maynot read your mind, unless she can.
Or your mom is focusing on you and the sound makes you feel it's prominent. This's similar to distubance of Satan's spirit. But as long as you can be calm or normal of your mind, you can overcome it.
It's really any chips. Like, this woman is the only person I know that can eat freaking GRAPES loudly!
I can't tell her anything. She starts violent fights with me if I ask her to do anything, let alone, tell.
