My friends hate me because they say I'm a nerd. A lot of people call me a nerd and I'm going into 6th grade so I want to figure out why people call me a nerd so I can stop being called a nerd. PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm going into seventh grade. People didn't call me a nerd, but they called me creepy. All my friends betrayed me. I can say, be you, and if they do that to you, they aren't your friends. I'll admit, it gets really lonely and hard, but I'd rather be lonely than surround by people who hate me. Instead of trying to figure out how to change, try figuring out what to do about your friends. Basically, if you should let them go, or stick around. I hope my advice helped.

I'm not saying to change but do not do anything around your friends that is weird. Also if u like sports that's good. If not find something u like that people relate to and talk about it. I was a nerd up until 2 years ago in 9th grade now I have a lot of friends, can get any girl I want tho I'm ugly, and I am better in front of people. Also be the coolest version of yourself u can be. Being a nerd is a struggle I have gone through and am still going through. If your "friends" hate you, they aren't really true friends . A true friend loves you for who you are! An d besides, think of it this way: you are beautiful, smart, perfect, and amazing just the way you are. So try not to let them bother you. (And if they persist, tell them that since nerds are by definition smart, they are actually giving you a compliment.)
