Why do people brag about how hard there life is?

Americans. Americans brag about how hard life is because the American heritage is based on pioneers who walked into a wilderness with only what they could carry and built a life around whatever they could find. The average American today is a sissy who expects a government subsidy for anything he does, but still the heritage is there.

But there is a second answer. A very successful man usually does not know how he became successful. He only knows it took a lot of effort. So if another man can not duplicate his success he assumes the other man must be lazy. So he brags about his moral superiority.

It is because even though Americans probably don't do loads of manual labor, their ancestors did. They explored foreign land in the homestead years. They made everything by hand before unlike now where you have cash, you can buy it.Now we sit around and grumble about things we could fix like potholes, or graffiti.Instead of being proactive, we leave it to the government and brag about how hard their life is to look cool;because if their life was hard (which it is probably not), it is cool. How many people do you know have actually made a piece of clothing all by them self by sewing with only a needle.Or is a farmer working hours and hours only to have their crop stolen by crows, other birds, and bugs. They could even only work for an 10 hours sweeping and manual labor to get minimum pay and with a family of 5.Many people don't have that life.In the modern world.Instead they now chat with each other by texting and calling. Before it was sending letters. It is now all about ranking.Everyone wants to get a higher rank on the food chain.Instead of being the shark, they want to be the human that eats the shark. It's about POWER.
