Okay, so this isn't an educational question, it's more of a "does this happen to you?" So, I threw up, haven't checked my temperature, but I have stomach aches and am staying home from school. My mother was already annoyed by that, but I was looking at old pictures of mine and stared laughing because they were funny. My mother then shows up in my room and says "you don't look too sick now do you?" Is it such a problem that I can't laugh and have a good time when I'm sick? I am miserable on the inside, but that doesn't mean I can't make good out of bad. I've never had problems with skipping school or anything, I love school, but why do parents feel the need to hate on me if I have even the slightest enjoyment while I hurt?
Why do parents never believe me?

Firstly, you're not alone, my parents were also furious if I was ever off school ill.
Secondly just remember your parents are people too, they are just as flawed as anyone and honestly your mom is probably jealous that she isn't getting a day off. I'm sure that in her heart she wants you to be happy, it's just a bit of a struggle to express it sometimes. Just like you, your parents have mood swings and struggle to control what they say and do.
Now don't get me wrong, there isn't an excuse for your mom being spiteful and trying to make you miserable like she (probably) is. I'm just saying she isn't a God, she can't just decide that you have to be miserable, how you feel is up to you.
My advise would be to start taking your parents advise as just that, advise. Think about it and decide for yourself what seems right to you.
Anyway I hope you feel better soon and that this was in some way helpful :)
