Sometimes, I fall asleep and then either at morning or night I wake up for what I think is less than a minute and then I immediately fall back asleep and start dreaming again. Sometimes it only happens once per night, but mostly it happens two or three times. Then I wake up for good and remember all my dreams, then forget all the small ones and only remember the first dream, which always lasts the longest.

There are these things called sleep cycles. There are four of them, and you hit each one every time you go to sleep. Dreams are in the fourth cycle, which also takes the longest to get to, called REM sleep. The older you are, the less time it takes you to get to REM. On an average night, you will dream AT LEAST three or four times. You tend to only remember one or two. Dreaming is healthy, as it is the deepest sleep! What you are experiencing is very common!
But, what is it called? And why does it happen? And why do i keep waking up?
