Why do I look better in photos and videos than I do in the mirror?

Because there is no variety in the mirror: you see the same old sourpuss every time you look. Most people have the opposite problem: they look better in the mirror because they don't know what to do with themselves in real life: they look stupid, except for those rare moments when they get involved in something.
