I dream about this person almost every night but we haven't seen or spoken to each other for 5+ years. A recent dream i had was him and I were in a dress store helping me find a dress,after he picked a dress we just walk around talking.

Dreams are non-translatable except by your therapist who knows what is going on in your life and is trained. Dreams rarely mean exactly what you see. They are abstract and symbolic. It could be a movie or a song about people from someone's past. Could be someone saw an uncle they had not seen in a few years and you heard about it or something else entirely. They are not crystal balls.
Sometimes he would just popped into my mind throughout the day.
I wouldn't say we were close but we would friends.
