Not familiar with McDonald's specifically. But I have been on the other end in business a lot, when you're hiring new staff etc, remember that people who are hiring staff generally have aLOT of responsibilities, issues creep up and all of a sudden your day has gotten away from you. I had a girl come in 2 weeks ago for a trial, knew after that night is like to hire her but took me 6 days to finally get back to her, I'm not happy that it took that long but sometimes these things happen. Leave it a day or two, then you're well within your rights to do a polite follow up, generally if you do it by posting a question to them it makes it easier.
You could email, politely say you're touching base, that it was a pleasure to meet with them and that you're excited to start with them, perhaps add an enquiry about the ETA of your pants coming in and then thank them for their time. You should be closer to an answer then :)
