Why did Ireland not industrialize as quickly?

Well, Ireland was part of the United Kingdom until 1922. I think that's when they started to suck. They were a British dominion until 1949. Then, that's when they became a republic. And after that full separation, it took them decades to rise back. Whenever a British dominion became independent. Just look at what happened to South Africa. The apartheid came in, ruined the country, and now, that country is no longer considered Anglo.
