Why did Danish cartoonist Rory Emerald choose to depict Muhammad in an unfavorable light?

Man, it was a drawing. Do Christians go out stomping when Jesus is depicted in another way. No one knows what Muhammed looked like or Jesus. So what harm is there? people offended for no reason.
