Personally my memories start at the age of 5. Yet even from that time until today my memories are like a group of pictures in a photo album on a computer, I can only look at one at a time. The more I look at a one the clearer it becomes. The further in time I go back the fuzzier they get. I have a friend who says he can remember things that happened to him as an infant. We are all different when it comes to how we store and recall our memories. The brain was designed in such a way that if should store and recall ALL of our memories yet the Holy scriptures say we inherited sin and imperfection and therefore have great limitations, some have greater limitations than others. Don't worry though I'm sure your brain is working at its full potential. A few years ago I couldn't sleep so I started to recall my whole life starting with my first memories ( age 5) and went by grades, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, etc. you might not be able to go all the way back to kindergarten but go back as far as possible and start there. Remember everyone's memories start at a different age. Also there is a scripture that really gives me comfort when I get discouraged about my memory. It's Luke 24:45 if you don't have a bible you can read one online bible at JW. On that web site you can also find many articles about the mind, just type the word in the search bar.
