Why cannot we use paper to make fabrics for clothes and curtains?

i think it is because that it is so thin and the durability of tissue paper is not enough to be make clothes and curtains

this is so because paper is not as durable as the fabric for clothes and curtains. if instead of fabric, we use paper, it will tore away very soon.
