Wherever I look, I can see tiny, sparkling dots. It is as if I can see the air. They fill up every space where I look and are pin pricks rather than large dots. They are white, blue and purple and sort of grey. I could never pick out one dot, they blur together but I can still see the distinctive pattern of dots. The move quickly and vibrate and if I were to look at something, I am looking through them. I also find I can perceive depth in them, as in some dots appear further back.
Sometimes I feel like I am in a three dimensional grid when they join together with connections, too many to count. My vision is perfect, both near and far and I always see them, ever since I was a child. I see them in all light conditions and at night time or against a black background they are particularly prominent. Whenever I close my eyes, they become multicoloured and form shapes made up of grey and black squares on a background of fizzing colour. It can look like water rushing or a shadow moving occasionally. Does anyone have a similar experience and know what this is?
