They either just simply dislike you or, it could just be the plain reason that you only "sometimes" still go!
I suggest saying hi to them, if lucky, you may try to strike a conversation! I dealt these people know you at all, do they?
It may help if you edit the details of your question and add your age and the people avoiding you's ages!

Go 2 'after church tea / coffee.'
Say hi 2 people +smile as you go.
Start up lite conversations +you will find.
Remember,these people are curious because
they don't see you often.
If you can try 2go 2 some church drive or
club + you'll soon get 2 meet some people.
These people are close group +will open up
2you as soon as they know you well.
