Some background:
-he has been seeing me for 4 months once a week, then 2 months break (1st month he was away on holidays) and back again (no break up, just busy. I was little bit upset as I got used to him but I knew it is not serious)
-as he sees/dates a lot of women (womaniser) and I am aware of that
-he is wealthy but I wasn't interested in his money as others (as I am quite wealth as well)
-we never went to very expensive places as I never ask so, instead just enjoyed evenings at home
-he never before spend money on me (except of paying for dinner)
-I did spend money, but on his kids (never met them, but got them presents for birthdays)
It was our second date after 2 months break (which we ignored as it never happened) and I came to his place for our usual home dinner and movies...and on the table there were 2 boxes, as it ended up presents for me. The phrase that he told me was "Sorry I forgot to give you a present from my holidays when I see you last time. And the second box is just something you may like I think."
I was totally surprised as I didn't expect that. One of the presents was really expensive to give, specially for no occasion. As far as I knew from him and one of his EXs, he gives money instead for presents and doesn't do presents for no reasons, instead go to the shops with you and pay for something if he feels like it.
I thought that was a payback for all presents that I gave his kids. But that was long time ago. I never requested anything, never asked to buy me or pay for me. To be honest I thought that "we are done " when I haven't heard from him for so long.
Sorry for that much of info, but I really need some thoughts why he did that?
