Omg. I know Greek myths so well. it is Atalanta, but she is not a goddess. She is a mortal was tossed out by her father, a king, because he wanted a son. Her mom killed herself for that reason. She was saved by Artimis, greek goddess of the hunt and moon. Artimis sent a mother bear to nerse Atalanta and then she was raised by the hunters. Artimas had a group of girl hunters who swore of love so the could hunt and live forever with Artimis as her sister maidens. Atalanta prayed to Airtimis for years saying that she was greatful and was a follower. Later her dad needed a way to keep his royal line going, so he ordered his gaurds to find Atalanta. They brought her back and she argued with him about it. finally they agreed that if someone could beat her she would marry, but if not the suiter would try. she hoped that would keep the suiters away because she was known as the swiftest mortal in the world. But Eros, or as the Romans call him as Cupid, and his mother Aphrodite made many fall in love with her. Many men died. But then one suiter asked Aphrodite for help. The goddess of and beauty gave him the three golden apples and said that every time Atalanta got ahead to throw an apple and Atalanta would go after it. when they begun racing everything went as plained, but when he threw the last apple she almost didn't go after it. so Eros shot her with his arrow and she fell in love and went after the apple to let him win. they got married. they made the mistake of sleeping on sacred land of Zeus and were turned into lions. the royal blood went on, but as lions
