The enormous fossils that we find plainly indicate that Earth had different gravity and atmosperic conditions, but scientists have assumed unchanging conditions to support their theories. So you won't get any discussion about those things.
At some point scientists had decided that there were no humans in the Americas until 9,000 years ago. Archaeologists would dig to the 9,000 year level and stop because it was forbidden to find anything below that. About 20 years ago Kennewick Man was found and became a popular news story. He turned out to be 10,000 years old, so the authorities relaxed their position and allowed discoveries 10,000 years old. Immediately evidence was found of humans in the Americas 15,000 years ago, then 30,000 and then 50,000 and now it is ok to find evidence of any age.
There is a theory called "expanding earth" www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kL7qDeI05U It uses published ages of sea floors to propose a globe half the present diameter. Scientists throw insults at it, but they have nothing better to offer.
