Tribes sponsor powwows. Maybe they advertise and maybe they don't. The Hopi powwow in Flagstaff, AZ is like a county fair.

Disclosure: Most of those pictures are not Hopis. The feathered bonnet was used by plains tribes and is remembered mostly because of movies. A Hopi powwow features tee shirts that say "DON'T WORRY - BE HOPI".
