My wife went on a truck ride with a friend and the trip takes a total of about 14 hours will the time they spend unloading the truck count towards there time limit before they have to rest? And if they take a rest does it have to be for 10 hours even if there only a couple hours from home?
While a semi driver is unloading goods at a store is it considered in there 11 hour driving limit?

Unloading does NOT count towards the 11 hour *driving* limit.
It DOES count against the 14 hour *on duty* limit.
It also counts towards the 70 hour a week on duty limit.
And yes, once any of those limits are reached, a 10 hour break IS required, even if they are 30 minutes away from the house- technically.
