It all depends on what you're looking for in a phone. I did some research on both phones and doing a comparison on the IPhone 6 and Sony Xperia z3, it seems to me that the Sony phone is better when it comes to camera quality (3840x2160 for video and 20.7 megapixel for rear camera) and processing power (quadcore at 2500 MHz) but the IPhone is better when it comes to phone structure and features. The IPhone has and aluminum body with scratch-resistant glass and for features it has back-illuminated sensor (BSI), autofocus, phase detection autofocus, touch to focus, digital image stabilization, face detection, exposure compensation, burst mode, digital zoom, geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), panorama, and a self-timer. Although the camera might not be as good as the Sony phone (8 megapixel), the IPhone has more features that can compensate for the lose.
Personally, i'd go for the Sony phone because in my opinion too many people have the IPhone 6 and I like to be different from other people
