Which permission do I need, if I want to go on a competition with my horse in Ireland?

Hi :)

I'm from Switzerland and this Summer I would like to go to Ireland. I would like to work in a stable with young horses and go on competitions. Here in Switzerland we have to do something like a test to get a permission for riding competitions. Is it possible to get a guest permission in Ireland for competitions? I can not find anything on the HSI Website.
