This is all I can find on the web...
Roan: a color pattern that causes white hairs to be evenly intermixed within the horse's body color. Roans are distinguishable from greys because roans typically do not change color in their lifetimes, unlike gray that gradually gets lighter as a horse ages.
Blue Roan: A black with roaning pattern, not to be confused with a gray or a blue dun/grullo. A roan tends to have a darker head, while grays not only lighten with age,
Gray. Although many may look white, a coat of gray is made up of white hair mixed with color. Unlike the white, cremello or perlino, the skin is dark not pink. Grays begin life as a coat of a different color, and change to gray as they age.
snowflake: white spots on a dark body. Typically the white spots increase in number and size as the horse ages.
Lipizanner. They are born a black brown or dark bay, but lighten to pure white( gray is correct- there is no such thing as a white horse fyi) as they age. It is extremely rare that they remain dark colored all through their life.
Also- FRIESIANS ARE ALWAYS BLACK. THERE IS NO OTHER COLORS FOR THE BREED. BLACK.
