Metals CANNOT be gases.
Through process of elimination, the right answer could have been found. Metals ARE good conductors of electricity and heat (think of pans in cooking), Metals CAN be stretched into long thin wire and can be rolled into sheet without crumbling (referred to as malleability and ductility, think of aluminum foil). So obviously the answer can only be option 3, as that doesn't represent the properties of a gas.
