Which is a better job, growth/money wise? Sound and communication tech or oil spill responder?

In my opinion the oil spill responder sounds like a better opportunity. It sounds like a job that requires some skill but also with an unpleasant title that might put off a lot of people, so you will have a lot less competition.

Sound and communications tech sounds like your typical artisan job that half the population wants to do.

Interesting.. duly noted

They do say working in oil can be very worth while, so I'd say that one too!

If I mention that the apprenticeship is through the union ibew would that change anything?

I just don't really know how far you can go as far as oil spill responding goes as opposed to an apprenticeship that leads towards a journeyman level ..
