You will not see results overnight, the sooner people learn that, the better.
The best exercise for weight loss in my opinion, is swimming. It requires you to use all of your muscles. Aim for about a mile everyday. find a gym that has a pool and get a membership. or if you live close to a lake or a beach and it's not too cold, try swimming.
If not swimming then, try walking and jogging. Running is good also but it's a high impact exercise on your joints. If you don't want to walk or jog outside, then get a treadmill and make room for it. walk or jog for about 20-30 minutes every other day or every day if you wish.
You also cannot go without a healthy diet. Having candy and frozen foods and fast foods all the time is not good for you. Let yourself have one cheat day of the week, were you can have some of those foods but not a lot. An example would be the following...
If you decide to have fast food, just buy one item, like just curly fries or just a cheese burger don't get a meal unless it's a kids meal, ironically that's what adults should be having, and don't feel embarrassed about it. you can also let yourself get a diet soda.
I don't want to go on and on, I hope this advice at least helps you get started.
