Which are the different sword types?

There are quite a few different kinds of swords, and even many more centers of sword fighting. Swords can be generally categorized by whether they are optimized for the thrust, the cut which includes swords like Viking sword, falcata, katana, early longswords, many types of saber, falchions, or somewhere in between later longswords and arming swords. You can also group them by either single or both hands. Each sword has its own benefits and drawbacks.
