I'm trying to preform electrolysis with salt to create sodium hydroxide but I need electrodes. Tried to do a simple search but I couldn't really find anything that wasn't really expensive and unnecessary. Anyone know where I can find some simple graphite electrodes? Also on a side note, anyone know another power source that's usable outside besides a car battery or an extension cord.
Where do I find electrodes? Tried doing a simple search on Google but I can't find anything?

I don't think you know enough to do this experiment. Hydrolysis of salt releases chlorine, and that is bad news.
Graphite electrodes are described at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphite#Electrodes and you can see there why they are so hard to find and so costly.
I think you better by your lye at the grocery store.
