It's difficult to tell because he was born prior to census records. He could be identified by parish records but both Henry and Hudson are common names. He could also be identified by star chamber or militia records. Problem is, most people at the time stayed reasonably static in location and Hudson was very much the exception. He was an adventurer.
What we do know of him, of course, is his surname. At the time of his life, Hudson was a very common name in Yorkshire. It still is to an extent. I'm in the neighbouring county (Lancashire) and my sister's longest relationship was with a man with the same surname. The chances are he was a Yorkshireman, but this really is only statistics. He could have been from anywhere.
You're welcome! :)
How do u know that?
Kk. Thanks that really helps.
