It came from the devil. It is one of his many tricks. He succeded because mostly everyone celebrates Halloween. If you celebrate Halloween then that means you are celebrating the devil. The candy part of Halloween is the trick part. He knew that we could not resist that. Not very many people know that what they are doing is bad. The devil can sometimes be very tricky.
Well, as we celebrate it here in the US, it is relatively new. The Name "Halloween" is a contraction of the original "Christianized" name of "All Hallows Eve" which was the evening before the catholic "All Saint's Day". This Christian holiday was held at the same time as the older, Celtic/Gaelic festival of "Samhain" which was the end of the harvest season or "lighter" half of the year and the beginning of "darker" half of the year. Elements of both of these traditions form what we now call "Halloween".
When you celebrate something you must make sure what you are doing. Even when you are religious minded. Therefore when you celebrate something ask yourself is it pleasing to God? Would Jesus do it?

Thousands of Wiccans, who follow ancient Celtic rituals, still call Halloween by the ancient name Samhain and consider it to be the most sacred night of the year. “Christians ‘don’t realize it, but they’re celebrating our holiday with us. . . . We like it,’” stated the newspaper USA Today when quoting a professed witch.
Here is a scriptural thought Celebrations like Halloween are in conflict with Bible teachings. The Bible warns: “There must never be anyone among you who . . . practices divination, who is soothsayer, augur or sorcerer, who uses charms, consults ghosts or spirits, or calls up the dead.”—Deuteronomy 18:10, 11
Here is another scripture to keep in mind.
(Jeremiah 10:2) . . .This is what Jehovah says: “Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Because the nations are terrified by them.
This should help you what you need to do.
