... to 4 times a year. It seems that all the doctors that I have gone to cannot find the right cocktail for me. I feel that I have been misdiagnosed and the meds. have cause all type of side effects. The many psychiatrists that I have seen over the 12 years don't have an answer to solve this nightmare. Please help and give me suggestions. When the psychiatrists don't have answers, who can I turn to for help?

The first line of defense in such cases is B vitamins. Doctors won't recommend them because they have no training in that field. They usually don't even know the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian.
B vitamins are cheap and safe. Look for B-50 or B-100 at the drug store. B2 is a water soluble dye that makes urine bright yellow, so when the color fades, it's time for another pill.
You just have to learn these things for yourself, so study some books about nutrition. This is old, but still the most popular introduction to the field:

Also, remember that mental health disorders are brain disorders. The brain is a part of the body. Ignore people who do not understand the severity of the issue. It's hard to bypass the ignorance when these issues dominate your life. You wouldn't see a person telling a cancer patient to just deal with it.
Good for you for staying strong and seeking help despite the negative experiences.
