I am 13, and interested in volunteering, but there are no oppertunitys in my community for me to take because of my age. What should I do? I take any oppertunity, but if I had it my way I would like to volunteer at a hospital, with seniors or with children. Thanks

Awwww, that's so sweet of you! I'm also around your age and had a similar problem with finding places to volunteer at...
Volunteering with the elderly is a wonderful idea. By directly contacting a manager or worker at a senior center, you'd have a better chance at being able to visit and help the elders who live there. Go to a senior center's website and usually on websites there's a little tab that says, "contact" or something. So press it and an email/phone number should be there that you could use to contact. Email would be better. Just say basic information about yourself and why you're contacting them. For instance: "Hi, my name's _____ and I'm contacting you because I'd love it if I could volunteer at ______ senior center. I'm 13 years old and have a love for volunteering. Helping the elderly seems like a very nice idea. I could simply visit them or talk/listen to them or anything of that sort..." and so on and so on.
Other places that could use young volunteers are places like, animal shelters, food packaging places, food serving, and others. You can look some up online for more options. You could also just donate clothes to donation centers such as Lighthouse or Salvation Army.
