Pink screen (with vertical lines) is due to faulty RAM. As far as my experience tells me, if you are having two RAM Chips, one of them could be the faulty one. RAM modules can be checked/replaced by opening the cover located underneath the laptop. If you have two RAM Modules, try using one at a time to identify the faulty one. Make sure you turn off the laptop, remover the adaptor cord and battery before removing and reinstalling RAM.
Hope it helps! Good Luck!
