When looking at a search engine does it make any difference if the text is written big or small?

Searches won't be affected by the size of the text.

In terms of trying to read the text in a search engine, bigger text usually makes a difference as it's easier to see.

Yes, big text is easier for old folks to see. But that has nothing to do with a search engine. Text size is selected in the browser using CTRL-+ and CTRL--.

It is not clear at all just what you are trying to ask.
