When I try to copy/paste from ps4 2nd screen app it won't let me type while I'm in the game?

Details:

So when I got the PlayStation app and connect it to my PlayStation to use my phone as a keyboard on my PlayStation 4 I can type in a party chat but it won't let me type in the game?
