SO when i download a file from chrome open it up in the file folder, it comes up then disapears. for example when i download a mc mod file such as optifine, there is no installer, it comes up as c:\users\(username)\downloads\java.exe - they worked 2 days ago... i have the newest version of java and i have winrar. i selected files to go to java - so at this point any suggestions would be helpful.
