I have been reading books and looking up articles about dragons and I've been writing down a lot of notes about them. The thing is I don't know if I can be a "person/scientist" who can find out about them. Please help.

There are two types of dragons, the mythical beast and the fictional beast. The mythical dragon has been described by tribes all around the planet and they all agree on all details: feathered body of a snake, bearded face of a lion, and eyes that shoot lightning bolts. Mesoamericans worshiped Quetzalcoatl for thousands of years, and the Chinese still dance with a paper dragon for holidays.

A winged dragon or any other type of dragon is fictional. Here is a very long ebook analyzing the various myths: saturniancosmology.org/
