My oven is weird for two reasons, first it doesnt have degree options (only medium, high, and low) but that I can guess my way around it. Last night I baked an apple pie and the bottom crust burnt into black! while the top crust was untouched! so I was wondering when I bake should the fire come from the top or bottom or both? Because my oven allows me to open the fire on each of them separately. I did add a baking sheet beneath the pie and at the same time I put it at the lower third and on the medium fire.
