I just bought a 2015 certified pre owned Nissan Altima and one thing I noticed was that the fuel range on a full tank only went up to about 350 miles. Yet, the MPG is stated to be at 27-39. Anybody know why I'm getting such terrible fuel range? The tank size is 19 gallons....

Carry a notebook and when you buy gas, record the odometer and gallons you put in. After a few tankfuls you can divide the mileage by the gallons and get a very close figure for average miles per gallon, and the longer you keep doing this the more accurate it becomes.
Does your speedometer display mpg as you drive? Watching that number lets you learn what driving habits affect your mpg. For instance, if you see a red light or a stop sign and you coast to it, your mpg goes up near 100, and just that one trick will improve your average mpg by two or three tenths of a mile per gallon. In essence, any use of the brake pedal wastes the gas it takes to get the car rolling again, so you want to let the car coast to a stop when possible, and adjust your speed to catch green lights instead of zooming down to a red light.
Another gas waster is looking for a parking space at the mall. Drive to the door you want to use and take the first space you see as you drive away. That is the closest you are going to get, and you don't waste gas driving at the car's least efficient speed.
