I have 3 outlets and a cieling fan that suddenly stopped working. I tried flipping the breaker, it didn't work. I replaced all 3 of the non working outlets thinking it was maybe one bad outlet that wasn't feeding to the rest but that didn't fix the problem either. I pulled the cieling fan down to make sure everything was connected properly and that was good as well. I then took out and replaced one of the outlets in the room that was still working thinking maybe there was a bad feed out of that, but that didn't fix the other 3 or the fan either. I'm clueless as to what is wrong. I don't know much about electrical, and I'm hoping that someone has an idea of what could be going on.

If your house was built in the 70s, there is a fair chance it was wired with aluminum instead of copper. That was a good idea, but it was a bad idea. Copper oxide will conduct, but aluminum oxide won't. So when the wire gets old, it's possible for joints to turn into heaters and burn down your house. You can check by looking: copper wires are red or brown, aluminum wires are white. If you have aluminum you should get the house rewired.
Well, that was the only thing I knew about. I recommend you hire an electrician. He'll charge you a few bux, but it's cheaper than a fire.
